A quick introduction to EMAN2.1 for CryoEM Single Particle Analysis
Professor
Baylor College of Medicine
Host: Jason Key
EMAN2.1 is a full featured scientific image processing suite with a primary focus on CryoEM and CryoET. In the last two years, it has been the most widely used software in the CryoEM field for single particle reconstruction. In addition to performing complete processes like single particle reconstruction, EMAN2.1 includes a diverse set of utility capabilities for file format conversion, image processing, etc. In this brief introduction we will go over the organization of the package, an overview of its capabilities, general techniques for using it on clusters, and a few useful tools that can be used with little training. We will also discuss where to find more information.
You can read more about EMAN2 on the main EMAN2 webpage or through these tutorials.
