Ian Stokes-Rees has recently joined the SBGrid team. He arrives after a year doing a postdoc in computational finance on the grid at INRIA in France. During his PhD he worked on large scale grid computing architectures for particle physics computing. He will be developing grid portals to enable SBGrid members to easily run a range of software packages through a web interface, while utilising computing resources from around the world.
