As part of the NSF grant, an experimental cluster has been acquired and is in the process of being configured. This cluster consists of 3 different classes of machine:
- Mac Pro, with 3GHz quad-core Intel Xeon processors
- Intel Harpertown Xeon quad-core, 45nm technology
- AMD Santa Rosa dual-core, 65nm technology
These machines will be used to develop new architectures and grid software deployment models for SBGrid.
