Changing your account password

Password changes for CMCD accounts can be done using a web-based tool. You should use the appropriate tool for your site:

HMS

SSH to crystal.harvard.edu and use the passwd command.

MCB

For MCB, please use the passwd command at the terminal to change your password.

Password Restrictions

Please note the following restrictions. Your new password must:

• Differ from your account name
• Contain at least one letter
• Contain at least one number
• Contain at least 8 characters
